Kodak HD 400 was a consumer-market standout in its day, fine grain, punchy contrast, and color rendering that held up well under mixed lighting. Two decades of cold-unknown storage means the emulsion has shifted. Expect reduced sensitivity, lifted shadows, increased grain, and color drift toward warm/magenta tones. These are not defects. This is what expired film does, and for a lot of shooters, it's exactly the point.

Shoot at 100 ISO rather than box speed to compensate for emulsion degradation. Overexpose generously. Don't expect clinical results. Do expect character.

To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must be in the same condition that you received it, unopened, and in its original packaging.

To start a return, contact us at help@filmdeveloping.co. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Merchandise returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee, which will be deducted from the refund amount.

In the rare event that you receive a damaged or defective film product, please contact our customer support team at help@filmdeveloping.co within 14 days of receiving your order. We will work diligently to address the issue and provide a resolution. Proof of purchase may be required.
