Processing limitations

The website was not clear about what film types they are able to process. Being one of the most popular and fastest developing businesses, I expected no problems with being able to developall widely used film types. They were however quick to return my undeveloped rolls and noticing me the same day they received them that they were unable to develop. Given the lack of information I would have appreciated a refund for the shipping considering it was a waste of my time.

We appreciate the feedback Thomas. You're right; when selecting 'Process' for your film order we should offer more insight into what that means and how to identify what you have - we'll work on that. The process, or standardized chemical process required for developing, is typically printed directly on film canisters.

It looks like you sent some ECN-2 film our way, which is an atypical film type for still photography. ECN-2 film is meant use with motion pictures, and while it has found its way into the photography market, it requires specialized processing. We're a bit old-school, so we're sticking with the most popular and time-tested processes for now (C-41 and B&W).

If you ever have any questions about the ordering process in the future we're availiable to help immediately by phone or chat widget during normal hours, or by email anytime. Cheers!
